Professional Experience and Interests

Baylee is an MD student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM). Currently, Baylee is the Patient Relations Coordinator for the IDEA clinic, which is a weekly student run clinic for people who inject drugs. She is also heavily involved in research on non-autologous biomaterials with Dr. Paulo Coelho. Prior to medical school, Baylee held leadership positions in Kesem, UMiami's alternative break program, and Phi Delta Epsilon in addition to volunteering in community organizations such as the Red Cross and hospice. In Indonesia, Baylee is interested in exploring community access to surgical procedures to better understand global healthcare.

Professional Experience and Interests

 Alexandria is an MPH student at the University of Miami. She has been working in the Crane Cancer Research lab since 2023. During her time as an undergrad, she has held various leadership roles in different organizations that focused on volunteering, advocating, and helping the community. She had the opportunity to intern for M.A.M.A’s Club and learned about the history of the Gaisnvile Community while implementing the Sustainable Developmental Goals. She is currently an MPH ambassador for her program and holds a position for the Public Health Student Association. Alexandria loves to combine traveling and global health. This passion took her to the Dominican Republic in 2022 to assist the medical staff in lower-income communities

Professional Experience and Interests

Rachael is a current MD/MPH student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM) set to graduate in 2025. During medical school, Rachael is currently involved as the Resource Management Assistant and also works as a Patient Navigator for the Department of Community Service (DOCS) at the University of Miami. She is also a Physician Recruitment Liasion for the Nicaragua Medical Mission and Global Surgery Student Association Outreach Chair. She volunteers frequently at the student-run clinics and health fairs and is involved with Miami Streed Medicine (MSM). Before medical school, Rachael attended the University of Michigan and received a degree in Biomolecular Science. During undergrad, she spent time in Bangkok, Thailand, and Cape Town, South Africa, volunteering and learning about health disparities from a global perspective. Prior to coming to medical school, Rachael worked in healthcare consulting for two years. In Indonesia, Rachael is interested in researching communicable diseases such as TB and COVID-19 to better understand global health disparities.

Johnny is current MPH student at George Washington University remote program with a focus in global health. He also works full time as a physician assistant in outpatient medicine with 6 years of clinical patient experience. His prior medical volunteer trips have inspired him to make an impact in the global community by focusing on population-based health issues. Johnny has a special interest in researching the impact of rising chronic non-communicable diseases in low-middle income countries that are going through the epidemiological transition.

With more than a decade of experience in healthcare and education, Emily is passionate about global health and committed to leveraging social media to highlight and address health disparities worldwide.  Emily loves spending time in beautiful Glacier National Park with her husband Brian, her children and grandson.

Los Angeles, California based photographer Karl Seifert has  passion for art, history, preservation and people.  Karl specializes in  photographing fine art collections, jewelry and design.  His  clients include artists, collectors, galleries and museums who need  precise and careful still and motion capture of their collections.    Karl’s work also features documentaries, live performances and  portraiture of the creators behind the work.   By day, Karl is the  Studio Director for LA Modern Auctions.   By night, he is an exhibiting  artist, and a contributing photographer for environmental, cultural and  educational organizations.  When he is not behind his camera, Karl  enjoys cycling, diving, flying stunt kites, and most of all, adventuring  with his wife Heidi and daughter Vivian.
