Symposium Purpose
Since the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are for all people in the world, this SDGs symposium is for all people in all fields of work and study. The future is ours!
This symposium will:
- Provide a virtual platform for stakeholders (e.g. governments, NGOs, industries, communities, professionals, citizen scientists, advocates, average Joe, and academia) from around the world to share knowledge and practice
- Showcase how passionate individuals, groups, and organizations at all levels can contribute to the SDGs through their work.
- Have three sections (live presentations, library of recorded presentations, and gallery of creative content) to support diverse forms of engagement
- Support our colleagues in Myanmar, where the education system has been tested by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as serious domestic challenges
- Celebrate International Youth Day with global citizens around the world

Children & Youth Are Our Future
Sustainable Development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (UN, 1987).
Education is a key not only for individual success, but also for sustainable development. We need to ensure achievement of SDG 4.7 so that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development through:
- Education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, and gender equality
- Promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, and global citizenship
- Appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture's contribution to sustainable development

Corporate, groups, or large donors can have their logo or name presented on the conference website, and be offered a short video allotment in the “creative content” section of the Symposium. Logo size and video length will be determined by donation category:
